everything you ever wanted in a vampire vs werewolves movie. i really liked it. great special effects, good story with a good twist, good acting and i didnt even reconize more than 2 people that i could place. i loved it, see it again and buy when it comes out.

the father of batman will have a special place in my heart. you want to know where the inspiration for Batman came from? Look no further than the adventures of Lamont Cranston, who seeks vengeance on the urban riff raff as the Shadow. This mediocre picture features the thespian talents of Ian Mcellan before he became the master of magnetism or the wizard supreme, as well as tim curry, and of course the star, and my personal pick for Batman, Alec Baldwin.

hilarious

i dont iknow how they did it. how do you make a movie based off of a sketch comedy show. now some of the sketches from snl have been made into whole movies (i.e.- wayne's world, night at the roxbury, and ladies man) but what if all of the snl characters were in amovie together? it had to be a hard project to write. but they pulled it off in canadian kids in the hall style. i laughed and laughed. it is wortha watch. i loved the lorne micheals boss character.

wall street for the new millenium. this is a pretty good flick with some up and comers. i am a big fan of giovanni ribisi. he did a really good job of playinga kid who wants to get up top with out working too hard, but when he finds out that the only way to do it without getting thrown out of the game. makes for a great movie to watch on a lzy afternoon if your in the mood for a suspense drama. the scenes between ribisi and his characters father re pretty good and i connect with them because sometimes that the way your own life scenes go.

psycho backwards. it was fairly good story with a pretty nice twist for those who have never seen it. if you do see it try to imagine not knowing who jason is or anything. i htought there were some pretty good scenes in it, some good scares. all in all i give it half a thumb up.

a really touching drama. i love this movie, it is a personal favorite. i saw it for the first time on a recorded tape my dad had, it came on right after this x-men cartoon my dad taped for me. well, i was watching it one day and was too lazy to stop the tape or something and watched it. i fell in love it since. micheal keaton's first dramatic role, which landed him the national society of film critics best actor award. not only was his performance great but i really felt like the movie captured the emotions and mood of putting your life together through AA and trying to help someone as well. i have afriend who is heavily invovled with AA and have begged her to watch it. if this movie doesnt touch you, then you are a friggin robot.

goodthere is a degree of humor that falls below mine and it seems that trl comedies such as american pie and scary movie have fell into this crevass, but i think sm3 will actually be pretty funny. they have some more movies to make fun of and hopefully wont just rely on playboy cartoon sex comedy. i somewhat liked the first, hated the second, but hopefully this next one will be pretty good.

maybe goodthe rock is now trying to follow into the footsteps of hulk hogan and andre and try to actually make a career out of movies. i dont think it will work because of how perfect his physique is for wrestling. i never liked how it carried over the big screen. i didnt see scorion king, but i dont have to, i know it had to of sucked. fortunately the rock has a comic relief in stiller from american pie. hopefully he will do a little better job at comic relief in this movie than he was in bulletproof monk. watching the preview makes me think it will be romancing the stone meets WWF. and yes in the preview he did give someone the rock bottom. ugghh

freddy vs jason

15 years and worth the wait. i think they did an excellent job. friday and saturday nights it was sold out in my town. i finally got to go to the twilight show opening sunday. it was awesome. the story was pretty good. the best parts of the movie were the actual fight scenes between freddy and jason, but the filler wasnt that bad either and did both franchises justice. i was rooting for freddy. i never liked jason movies, but this one wasnt that bad at all. on my list to watch is the first friday the 13th, jason goes to hell, and jason x. i have seen all the nightmares at least 2 time a piece and soem a couple more. the plot was actually pretty good and the effects amde the movie, as you knew they would. now normally i cant stand a movie that stands completely on special effects, where 2/3s of shooting is in front of a green screen, but this is a movie that HAS to have good effects ro wont work. but it didnt just stand on effects alone, of course it didnt stand on its acting either, but.... no, seriously, we all know this movie is great because of the years we have all spent watching these moveis and wondering just what would happen if freddy met jason, and who woudl win in a fight. i mean the only reason i went with freddy and t bagg went with jason is because those were the movies we had seen teh most of and enjoyed. i think we know who we will be dressign as for halloween.

pinhead was there fro three scenes!!! a character that supposedly is the poster child for teh movie and he is only in there for three scenes and says like five maybe six lines with way too much melodrama and lighting and this is what you built a whole series upon? now granted, this the only hellraiser i have seen so far, but i mean come on. it was like a tlaes fromt eh crypt with really graphic scenes. i think it even would have been good without even seeing cinemites or whatever. they were more like a crowd pleaser. my roomate and i laughed at the lady having an affair with the biology lesson, and his jealousy with his borther who was actually her husband and had... youknow... a really big... you know.... EPIDURMUS!!! "once you go SKIN you never go back again!"

anyway. for the year it came out, the effects were pretty good. the sound was horrible, becasue the music would get really loud and then really soft, as well as the actors lines, plus i think like half of the male actors had dubbed voices.

eye candy for those who think that is eye candy. i thought it was just a barage of horrorifying images. i was not disturbed, but then again, the exorcist does not phase me. i thought the story was confusing, which i have no doubt they wanted. i mean i could follow it, but then it just got retarded. i realy liked the clown, and i thought what they did do , they did well. there was nto a scene that you saw that you looked at said, man that is really cheesy. i had a friend who said it was an orgy, which i didnt see that. i also had a friend who said he felt like it was really evil. i dont know. maybe the fact that i saw it on dvd and he saw it in theatres changes it, but i just felt like it was one big rob zombie video without so much music. i can uderstand though how someone coming from that perspective would think it was really good, but i am not so i dont.

a beatuiful journey in the life of a vampire. brad pitt exuded the depths of depression, self loathing, and ultimately acceptance of his dark fate. tom cruise made us love a villian, adn kirsten dunst amazed us with her performance at just five years old. this masterpeice takes us through the anne rice novel that pretty much put her on teh map. i watch this movie atleast three times every time i watch it. this movie as well inspired me to read the books.

i swear, this movie totally captures the spirit fo the gospel. the first itme i saw it i caught the tail end twice and fell in love with it. i then ordered the movie and saw it in its entirety, adn totally fell in love with it. it has great music, it doesn;t even sound like musical music. normally you won;t see musicals up here, but i friggin worship to this movie. when yo first see it you might think of it as a kiddy film, with maybe overly happy people wearing bright colors adn dancing with childlike abandonment, but please take in as an interperative peice. as a peice of art. i took alot of the kiddy stuff as symbolism, even the loud clothes. and remember jesus said in the eys of God we are children. this movie has close place to my heart.

rancid!! trl crapp!!! this is such a horrible movie about bill gates and his microsoft monopoly. it really pisses me off that a cool chick like claire forlani was in it. i mean i am sure she did it because she thought it was going to make a very pignant pint about his subject, but the end result was over produced crap. i mean i loved sliding doors, which was this director's first movie, but like most music artists alot of the more obscure ones have a really good and raw first album, but the second one had too much studio time and sucked!! this movie just brought this mistake to cinema. the acting, the story, the dialogue, the action, the situations, and the soundtrack were all just too... blagh!! i hate giving a movie this bad a review, but i have to.

I lvoe this movie. i absolutley love this movie. steve zahn is my hero. i have loved this man since reality bites. there are so many lines and scenes that i rewatch over and over again in my head and they get funnier every time i see them. Jack black is incredibly hilarious. amanda peet is hot, and jason biggs has a physical comedic talent. about amans peet's wardrobe, i saw this movie first with my brother and sister, i was sitting beside my sister adn two times i had look at her and tell her, i fi ever saw her with one of those shirts on, i would kill her. this movie nver really got the buzz it deserves, maybe because trl didn't care, but if you can atleast go out and rent it.

i had originally given this movie bad review. i believe after watching it for a 2nd time, that i was wrong adn hastey in my opinions. i go back and i liked the costume. i htought it was a good transfer. i didn't like the way the horns cane off the head, but, eh! i loved bullseye and his costume, thought the trenchcoat is a little played out... alot. brian duncan clark is the only choice outside of brando to play kingpin. electra was the wrst part of teh movie. she in no way portrayed the ninja assasin we all know and love. the acting on ben's part was surprisingly well, when i think of ben, i think frat guy, though he has well be gone from those days, thats what i htink, him and matt damon sharing a keg. but he did such a great job. duncan on the other hand, i thought could have done better but didnt. i dont blame him, he didnt have the lines and he didnt have the scenes to be better, so all we got were small overacted, campy scenes. colin ruled. the special effects were great, the action was fun, adn the movie had a great "look" to it.

i loved this movie. it had all the makings of a great movie: great cast, great story, and great designs. johnny depp stole the movie, if there was a lead role in this movie it was jack sparrow... what? oh sorry, right, right CAPTAIN jack sparrow!! from the eye liner to the sarcastic practical sense of humor he was a riot and only johnny depp could have brought him to us. the story was really good as well. it was what i would describe as a "full" movie, it didn't have a focused plot, but a story that took you on twists and turns and never seemed to stop shifting for too long. and great desing work as well, from the choreapgraphy of the fights, especially in the blacksmith shop between sparrow and turner, which i guess we can thank the musketeer for inspiration, to sparrow's eclectic get-up. definitely a repeat viewing. Also, did you know that johnny depp got alot of his motivation fro jack sparrow from keith richards, the lead guitarist from the rolling stones.

one of my favorite classics, about a guy who is forced into switching roles with his wife, becoming the house wife now. granted the idea of a fish out of water is probably one of the most over used themes in storytelling in general, but i felt that the physical and facial comical delivery of micheal keaton, combined with household stereotypes of the eighties makes this a great film. terri garr, who used to be hot plays his wife, if you still think she is hot pick up a copy of ghostworld and prepare to lose your labido. i thought the script was great, the supporting cast even funnier by themselves. all in all a good fim to pop in at any time.

another movie that gets a bad wrap. i really liked this movie. i think you have to appreciate the concept of this movie and comic to really enjoy it. Alan Moore, the creator, has gone back in time to find the original justice league of america and found our pulp heroes of the century before last. he found alan quartermain, the man who might as well be indiana jones's grandfather played by non other than indie's father. he brought mina from the novel that spawned our modern view fo vampires and dracula, she by the way was the one who escaped draculas hold and went back with van hessling to kill count dracula. the invisible man, who actually has a super powerand spawned lets see... who am i thinking of... invisible woman! dr. jekyll and mr. hyde, the premise for another blockbuster movie out right now. and these ppl from the 1800's literature aren't going to fight a thermo nuclear bomb or an internet supercomputer or even a green man ona hover glider, they are going to battle a tank, or a time bomb made of dynamite. one critic said that it was held together with bad dialogue and outlandish action. thats what made these characters popular to begin with, not waht they said, but what they did and not even how they said what they did. i think this movie was totally great, except for... well, tom sawyer as an american special agent i thinkw as a little too much...
i liked huck better.
